Well where to begin, he is the god of many names, god of Theatre, of Masks/Roles, he really deeply is meaning the sacred mushroom, the son and LOVER of the Mother Earth, and Goddess

That power, and ecstasy.

That desire. But it is not that kind of self-eating desire that runs from a void----though it CAN be. But in its essence it is ecstasy that heals. That sees through voids, and vicious circles, and habits that can destroy.

Always with Dionysos should be reason too, of course

As for the cutting off the penis? That is the literalizing of myth. We MUST see through that as well. The blood rituals and all that.

Now is the time to really see through that, and dance with Dionysos the effeminiate god Eleleu
Eleleu...the god of flowing ecstatic energy and spirit~~~muzuzuzushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03662316983453845369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4699701021609132279.post-56244362231849144812009-02-09T23:03:00.000+00:002009-02-09T23:03:00.000+00:00Brian, the place you're in now sounds like an alto...Brian, the place you're in now sounds like an altogether happier and more sustainable place.

With my penchant for stating the obvious, we can't help our impulses, but we can help what we do about them. Some people, and some religions, say that thought is equivalent to action, but I think that an unworthy or potentially abusive action resisted in the face of the impulse to do it, must get points of some kind.

I am rather less tolerant than you of those who get their sex mixed up with their politics. Sex for me has always been about pleasure not power, and I rather resent being tarred with a brush I'm not sure I deserve.

Some of these individuals fill me with a desire to wish them some good therapy, that they might have rather more fun, rather than feel it incumbent upon them to infect their sisters with their own maladie, acquired in who knows what abusive past.

So, confining myself purely to my own experience, and its relevance only to me and those who can stand my company, a bit of good mutually enjoyable Dianysian activity is looking like a really good way out of repression from here.

Enjoy

RegReghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12753176107399356438noreply@blogger.com
